My chiptune-pioneer pals 8 Bit Weapon have released the very first all-Apple II chiptune album, a funkificated take on classical music, created entirely with unmodified Apple IIs. This is a huge feat, since Apple IIs had incredibly crude 1-bit sound.

It’s a hell of an achievement, and one I feel a tiny tiny (tiny) bit responsible for, because I introduced these guys to the wonder of crappy Apple II sound years ago, with an awful noisemaker I made with an Apple II called the Crapophone. They have actual musical talent, so they saw potential in those square-wave bloops and ran.
