Apple has produced a special edition iPad Pro that will be auctioned off later this month, and it’s expected to raise as much as $21,000. The one-of-a-kind device has a yellow gold finish, and comes with a Smart Cover made from French leather.

On the inside, this 12.9-inch iPad Pro is just like the original — but it’s a very different beast on the outside. In fact, if you have the cash to snap this up, you’ll be the only person in the world who owns an (official) iPad Pro in this color.

“Edition 1 of 1” is laser engraved on the iPad’s back, and in addition to the leather Smart Cover lined with suede, the buyer will receive an Apple Pencil with yellow gold accents, and a Pencil sleeve made from orange Italian calf leather.

Donated by Jony Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, and his design team, this iPad is one of 39 lots that will be sold in the “Time for Design” auction hosted by the Design Museum on April 28. The auction will help the museum’s relocation to Kensington, London.

“Ive’s relationship with the Design Museum goes back decades,” explains AppleInsider. “The famous designer showed off a prototype mobile phone at the museum in 1990, just two years before he made the switch from Apple contractor to employee.”

Ive also won the museum’s first Designer of the Year award in 2003 for his work on the iMac.

The special edition iPad doesn’t have a price tag, but it is estimated to sell for between £10,000 and £15,000 (approx. $14,2000 to $21,300). Will you be bidding?
