Well, we now know that Willem Dafoe will not be reunited with Marvel in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The Hollywood Reporter says the actor, famous for playing Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, has been plucked by DC to appear in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which has already begun filming.
According to the report, Dafoe will play a good guy though his exact role hasn’t been revealed. We already know J.K. Simmons will play the new Commissioner Gordon, so who else does that leave? We’re not entirely sure and chances are Warner Bros. is going to keep it a secret—at least for a while.
The same crew is back for Justice League Part One, which will feature Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg, among others. No word on who the big villain will be, but there were plenty of hints Darkseid is going to show up.
