Prince died today, age 57. Very few people in the world could say they properly knew him in any way, beyond the way his music impacted all who listened to it. But filmmaker and famed raconteur Kevin Smith was once asked to create a documentary for the Purple One, and the result is this incredibly strange story.

Yeah, the result wasn’t a documentary. It was just this bizarre tale about a person who operated on a higher wavelength than most people, and who we’ll miss forever.

Rest in peace, Prince.
