Crash tests are great and all, but how well do they reflect reality?
That’s a question I often wonder. When we see automotive crash tests, all the dummies are strapped in nice and neat. There are no feet up on the passenger-side dash, there are no drinks clutched in hand, there are no kids screaming from the back seat, and all the other things that go on when people are actually driving around in their cars.
And that gets especially complicated when it comes to ambulances, for the first-ever ambulance rollover test, as chaos-cascade pointed out:

But to the ambulance industry’s credit, this is just the first test. Hopefully, the first of many.
