AT&T said Monday it will begin offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab E beginning Friday, May 6. The Galaxy Tab E is a relatively low-to-mid-range tablet, but it also comes in at an affordable price point. AT&T will sell the tablet for $0 down and $10 per month for 20 months on an installment plan.
The Galaxy Tab E offers an 8-inch display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and LTE support. There aren’t many bells and whistles here, but it should last pretty long on its 5,000mAh battery (AT&T says up to 13 hours on its LTE network), since it doesn’t have a heavy duty processor or super-sharp display demanding that battery life.
AT&T is also calling out its DIRECTV experience on the tablet, which is usually pretty good, but that only matters if you’re actually a DIRECTV subscriber. Pre-orders open today, otherwise look for the device on Friday.
