Xiaomi’s first drone is set to make its debut later this week, and over the weekend the company continued to tease the upcoming device. A new video offers a quick glimpse at the rumored Mi Drone in action. It looks pretty awesome.
As expected, the Mi Drone features a pretty standard design with four propellers and an underslung camera. The camera can twist and rotate, making it possible to shoot at almost any angle. Earlier leaks also suggest Xiaomi could include 4K video capability, making for a pretty high-end product.
Overall, the design looks nice but it may have trouble standing out in a crowded market. Xiaomi may still be able to distinguish itself with software, especially if the Mi Drone is controlled with a special wearable device. We’re also expecting the company to undercut the competition when it comes to pricing.
Either way, Xiaomi fans should have plenty to celebrate when the Mi Drone debuts this Wednesday. We’ll have all the info once it hits, but stay tuned for any more teasers that may fly in before the official reveal.
