HP on Monday announced the Chromebook 11 G5, a new notebook that will be ready for Android apps when they launch in Chrome OS this fall. Chief among the features is a full touchscreen display, but HP made other changes to the Chromebook 11, too.
HP said the new Chromebook 11 G5, which starts at $189, features up to 12.5 hours of battery life, narrower bezels around the display, and a completely redesigned chassis that contributes to the thinner and lighter experience. The Chromebook 11 G5, as its name implies, sports an 11.6-inch touchscreen display, a Celeron N3060 processor and up to 11 hours of battery life. It weighs just 2.51 pounds.
HP said the Chromebook 11 G5 will hit “channel partners” beginning next month and will arrive on store shelves this October.
