One of the company’s working to build Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s vision for a Hyperloop recently lost its co-founder. TechInsider said Friday that Hyperloop One co-founder and chief technology officer Brogan BamBrogan has jumped ship.
“Co-founder and CTO Brogan BamBrogan has decided to take a step back from Hyperloop One,” a Hyperloop One representative told Tech Insider. “We appreciate everything that he has done to put us on the path to creating the world’s first Hyperloop.” Rob Lloyd remains on as the CEO of Hyperloop One. If you’re unfamiliar with the firm, it’s the same one that successfully tested its technology in Las Vegas in May. It’s also the same company that wants to connect Russia and China with a freight Hyperloop.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t see a Hyperloop. In fact, there are several other companies working to develop similar systems and Hyperloop One will continue to operate full steam ahead, and the company reportedly still plans to open its first loop just four years from now.
