You have two choices right now: Amazon Echo or Google Home. Both are great smart speakers with a lot to offer. But only one will be $99 this holiday season.
During Black Friday, Best Buy will drop the price of Google Home to just $99, a $30 discount. The Echo starts at $179, so it’s already at a pretty big disadvantage. Now, consumers have an even bigger reason to jump on Home, which runs Google Assistant, the search giant’s smart new AI technology.
The deal is good between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26, so you only have a limited time to take advantage. The good news is that you can pick it up in-store and online, meaning you won’t have to brave the crowds just to score the deal.
As part of your purchase, you’ll also get six free months of YouTube Red. That’s a pretty great value for a device that features a lot of potential. If you haven’t yet joined the smart speaker revolution, Home is a great alternative to the Echo.
Amazon Echo is also discounted
If you want to score a discount on the Amazon Echo, Amazon is discounting the device by $40, bringing the price down to $139. You can also pick up the smaller Echo Dot for just $39 over Black Friday.
