John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has a new dog. But don’t think for a second him and his new pooch have settled down. The legendary hitman is being coaxed out of retirement one last time to take down an international assassin’s guild. Or, at least, that’s according to the movie’s official synopsis.
Reeves is reprising his role as Wick, a former hitman who just wants to enjoy the simpler side of life. But when a former associate plots to seize control of a shadowy organization, he must spring back into action. This, of course, puts Wick in the crosshairs of some of the world’s deadliest killers, including Ruby Rose, an assassin known as Ares.
Here’s the official synopsis, which keeps things pretty general
Keanu Reeves returns as legendary hitman John Wick, who is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
John Wick found a cult following after its release in 2014. It featured terrific action, and people loved the movie’s world of assassins. Although he’s not quite as nimble as he once was, Keanu Reeves is proving he still has what it takes to be an action star.
John Wick: Chapter 2 is scheduled for a release on Feb. 10, 2017.
