Is pop star Ariana Grande secretly a Final Fantasy nerd underneath her skin, or was she just thrown a bucket of money from Square Enix because of her ongoing popularity in the English-speaking world and Japan? I like to think it’s the former, but either way, she’s going to be appearing as a Guest character in the popular mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
Grande updated her Instagram account to show off the sprites that Square Enix has made to represent her. The sprite is based off of the cover of her most recent album, Dangerous Woman.

Indeed, we need more celebrities in Final Fantasy games
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has gotten positive praise from fans willing to toss their pride aside and actually give a mobile game a try. Who’s next? What pop stars would make sense in crazy costumes that match the Final Fantasy universe?
Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is available for both iPhone and Android as a free-to-play app.
