WATCH: Motorcyclist chases down erratic Mercedes driver who hit 3 cars in less than a minute

A motorcyclist from Southern California witnessed and chased down an erratic driver who hit several cars in a matter of seconds and attempted to flee the scene.

Capturing the footage on his GoPro camera, the rider, who goes by the nickname, “Dick Danger,” said he was riding his 2003 GSXR-600 when he saw a black Mercedes-Benz sedan side-swipe a vehicle that was traveling in the opposite lane. The Mercedes driver then proceeded about 100 yards before rear-ending a pickup truck.

After coasting for a few more yards, the driver plowed into a Toyota Prius. As a nearby fire marshal appeared to notify authorities on his walkie-talkie, a man who claimed his car was hit by the Mercedes paced angrily in the road, yelling at the driver as onlookers squeezed by.

The Mercedes then backed up a few feet, with it’s entire front-end completely crushed, and sped away.

The motorcyclist ran back to his bike and chased the driver for miles, lane-splitting between cars on the highway, and apparently talking to an emergency dispatcher on the phone.

“I made the split-decision to pursue the hit-and-run driver due to the fact that he appeared to be under the influence and might hurt or kill someone,” Danger described on his YouTube video. “Driver had tried to stop at different locations to hide but cannot out-run me.”

The driver eventually pulls over and gets out of the car, at one point, raising his hands as if to surrender.

“You should’ve stopped back there man, when you hit those two cars bro,” the motorcyclist said.

“I’m just saying I was wrong,” the driver replied.

After California Highway Patrol officers arrived on the scene, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to KABC.
