Are you sick of the mid-engine Corvette yet? Trick question, of course you aren’t. You desperately want to see it for real, desire to have it in your hermetically sealed garage, dream of hearing its American V8 howl behind your head for you and you alone. That day is not today! As you know, some prototypes for the mid-engine reinvention of America’s sports car have been tooling around the Nürburgring the past few days for testing. And in doing so they’ve shed the bulky disguises to give us the best look at the car to date.
We still aren’t aware of any technical details or pricing for this thing yet, though a 6.2-liter V8, a 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 and a hybrid option are rumored to be some of the items on the menu for buyers. And the front and rear definitely draw inspiration from the current, top-tier Corvette and even Camaro models.
