ZTE’s Spro 2 was already a pretty impressive device, but now the company’s going even further. The newly anounced Spro Plus boasts a massive high-resolution touchscreen display, a big battery, a sleek new design and an even better projector to match.
The company’s new smart projector packs a 500 lumen bulb that’s twice as bright as the Spro 2. At a distance of 2.4 meters it can create an 80-inch image on your wall, a hanging sheet, the ceiling or any other surface.
ZTE also included an 8.4-inch built-in display with a Quad HD resolution and a huge 12,100mAH battery, though it’s unclear how long that will last when the projector is on. Other specs include 3GB of RAM, 32 or 128GB of expandable storage, a Snapdragon 801 or 625 chip, and Android Marshmallow software. It’s set to comes in both LTE and Wi-Fi only variants.
The Spro Plus features a slim new design as well, with curved edges and a gold or silver finish. ZTE’s also offering a special IR Touch Pen, a game controller, a tripod and a carrying bag. The tablet-projector hybrid is set to launch sometime this summer. We still don’t know how much it will cost, but with all this powerful hardware we’re guessing it won’t be cheap.
