Double Fine has confirmed that Day of the Tentacle Remastered will launch on March 22 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita. Owner Tim Schafer chose to break the news through GOG by announcing a pre-order bonus that will land players 10 percent off.
Shortly after the PC announcement, Double Fine also chimed in to confirm that the PS Vita and PlayStation 4 version will also be available on March 22.
Day of the Tentacle is a master class point-and-click adventure with a reputation that expands beyond the boundaries of its genre. This is a “must play” experience for anyone who is interested in the history of games in general, not just the genre at hand. While the puzzles can be a little obtuse at times thanks the the time-travel mechanic, the writing, voice acting, and animation all set a standard at the time it was first released.
For both older fans and newcomers alike, I can guarantee that this is a package you don’t want to miss out on. Day of the Tentacle Remastered launches for the PlayStation 4, PC, and PS Vita on March 22.
