Apple shuffles iPad Air 2, iPad mini prices

As part of today’s iPad Pro update, Apple has announced a few price drops for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini. Moving forward, the Air 2 will be just $399 while the iPad mini will cost $269. (Prices, frankly, they should have been from the beginning.)

The price drop carves out a clear category for the iPad Pro models as being the top tier in Apple’s lineup. Don’t need Apple Pencil capabilities? The iPad Air 2 is the device you should get. Or if you need an iPad for your kid, just get them the more affordable iPad mini.
