White Sox ace Chris Sale has enjoyed an excellent start to the young MLB season, currently boasting a record of 9-1 and an ERA of just 2.29.
But on Tuesday night, Sale lacked focus and suffered a difficult loss — in an important game of “rock, paper, scissor” against an opportunistic Mets fan seated in the outfield. Sale, who did not pitch on Tuesday night, made the unfortunate decision to play “rock” on back-to-back turns, and (unsurprisingly) lost the contest.
In a display of good sportsmanship that we can all learn from, after his loss Sale proceeded to autograph the fan’s baseball.
