Is that Advance Wars I see? No, it isn’t, but I’m still excited.
Chucklefish, the studio behind the tremendously successful Starbound, is working on two new projects. They’ll continue to work on Starbound, too, but two new games are on deck.
This comes from Chucklefish CEO and Designer Finn Brice on Twitter.

As for the new projects? We don’t know all that much, other than that one of them looks like a blend of Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. That came from Brice’s wave of tweets, too. Including a fresh clip that just arrived this morning.
Here are the tweets concerning the project in order of their arrival.

This’ll hold me over nicely
I’ve been waiting for Nintendo to announce a new Advance Wars from Intelligent Systems for years. The studio stayed at work on Fire Emblem and committed some time to the ultimately forgettable Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. instead.
So, here I am, looking at screenshots, GIFs and even a quick clip from the maker of Starbound with pure anticipation. If Nintendo won’t do it, this’ll do.
I’ll follow Chucklefish’s efforts with this game, whatever they decide to call it, and keep you posted.
