You can finally find shows and movies on Netflix using Android TV’s universal search function. The latest platform update adds a Netflix button to your search results, two years after Android TV made its debut.
It’s unclear why it took Google so long to add support for one of the most popular video streaming services on the planet, but it’s here now. When searching for shows and movies you want to see, Android TV will finally tell you if they’re on Netflix.
You can then select the Netflix button and, assuming you have a Netflix subscription, begin watching the content you were after in an instant.
You’ll need the latest version of Android TV to see Netflix results, and even once you have that installed, they might not appear right away, according to Android Community. It looks like the feature is activated on the server side, so it might take a little to show up.
