Chelsea is on the brink of signing three new players, including Juventus’ £60 million left-back Alex Sandro, according to reports.
Juventus wants to offer the Brazilian defender an improved contract in an effort to keep him in Turin.
The Telegraph reports, however, that money could be no object as Chelsea is determined to sign the defender.
The newspaper said the west London club is ready to match Sandro’s £60 million valuation, topping the £50 million club record fee Chelsea paid Liverpool for Fernando Torres in 2011.
Chelsea is also ready to better any contract Juventus offer the 26-year-old.
The pursuit of Sandro is just one part of a triple swoop that Chelsea hopes to complete this week, as manager Antonio Conte looks to shore up his defensive line.
The Evening Standard writes that Chelsea is willing to spend a further £35 million on AS Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko and an estimated £33.7 million on AS Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger.
If this shopping spree made it to the checkout, Chelsea’s bill would be a whopping £128.7 million.
