Today we heard the strange and upsetting news that BMW’s new 2 Series Gran Coupe would be coming with front-driven wheels. It seems likely that the German automaker will move all of its small 1 and 2 series cars to a Mini-based front wheel drive platform. It’s enough to make you throw things.
Where else can you get a 300-horsepower front-wheel drive quasi-luxury sedan with a sloping roof for about $40,000? The Toyota dealer, of course. At least Toyota doesn’t call it a coupe.
Congratulations Moobuckaw on your COTD victory. May all your coupes have two doors.
