Who really wants a four-cylinder Ford Mustang, anyway?
As I mentioned in today’s news post about the 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3L High Performance Package (I would’ve just called it RS or SVO, but I’m not in charge) my strong preference is for that very good 5.0-liter V8. I don’t know how long V8s like that will be around, and that one happens to be extremely good.
But! That doesn’t mean you should discount the EcoBoost, which these days puts out numbers that V8s in the 1980s, ’90s and even early 2000s could often only dream of.
Plus, reader The Devil Drives a Mustang (Rotary Pending) makes a strong value case for the four-banger here:

Not wrong. You ever driven a base Mustang, even with the V8? There’s more to value than just your engine.
