This is going to be hard to believe, everybody, but someone on the internet had a nuanced but even and sensible take on Tesla.

This came up today when we were discussing how the Model 3 is so good at crash tests, even though it sort of defies conventional wisdom that having a big engine in front of you makes you safer.

Tesla has its other problems, to be sure, problems that are not always well-discussed thanks to the cult of personality around its problematic billionaire no-longer-CEO Elon Musk. But reader G42dog stands above the fray with a very reasonable assessment of Tesla the company:

We’ve said this before and we will say it again. It’s possible to have mixed feelings about Tesla. Believe it in your heart. (Just maybe don’t say it on Reddit or Twitter.)
