The 20th anniversary of Pokémon rolls on, and we have a new game to, hopefully, look forward to. Detective Pikachu has been announced with a brand new trailer.
The game is currently only slated for Japan. Its full name is Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination, packing a subtitle that suggests that we might see a series here. The title will hit the Japanese 3DS eShop on February 3, 2016, and it’ll sell for ¥1,500. By today’s rates, that’s about $12 USD.
I’m a Pokémon fan, and I generally like it when series try interesting things with their one-offs. If this does comes Stateside, I’ll give it a crack. Plus, just listen to Pikachu. He sounds ridiculous! I’m all about that.
We’ll have more on Detective Pikachu as it comes.
