Get your learning caps on. The YouTube program “Did You Know Gaming” is about to tackle an all-time favorite of mine, and I would just love to share it with you. Mega Man Legends is a cornerstone of my gaming history and one of my most revered nostalgic favorites.
That intro music in the video? Hits me every time.
Those who know about the franchise understand its cult-popularity and untimely fate all too well, but there is a host of information I had no idea about in this video. Possible named characters that appear as a generic NPCs due to budget cuts, gorgeous concept art suggesting what Kattlelox Island originally looked like, and the importance of Servbots in Capcom’s corporate culture. All really interesting.
And then there is the mobile game in Japan that I didn’t even know existed, nor do I feel any the wiser knowing about, really.
Regardless, Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Legends 2, and their excellent spin-off, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne are all cheaply available now through the PlayStation Store thanks to dedicated employees behind the scenes at Capcom, and they can finally be rediscovered easily by newcomers and veterans alike.
If you’ve liked what you’ve seen here, be sure to support them and pick them up today. This trilogy is really in a class of its own.
