The hardest working man in show business also has the best celebrity Instagram. It doesn’t exist to peddle herbal advertisements or humblebrag about his posh life. And there’s never any BS.
Often, social media is curated in such a way that it portrays a life that doesn’t really exist. Johnson’s feed is raw, real, and so much damn fun.
The man is so charming that even a short video of him working out is entertaining.
I’ve been following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Instagram for a few years now and every post is a treat. From his run-ins with fans to videos of his dogs, Johnson provides endless entertainment—and he’s funny as hell, too. He’s typically viewed as an action star but he has a serious knack for comedy.
Since he began filming Jumanji, Johnson has posted several behind the scenes pictures and videos from the set, providing fans with updates on how the shoot is going. Judging by what’s been posted, it appears to be the most fun ever. Unless you’re Kevin Hart.

While filming a scene the other day, Johnson and Hart had to lie down in the thick brush of the Hawaiian landscape, which is apparently full of “all kinds of bugs, spiders and centipedes.” According to Johnson, bugs are “Kev’s worst nightmare.”
So, of course, Johnson pulled a prank on Hart by throwing a fake and furry spider on him, causing the actor to lose his mind. Whether Hart likes it or not, he’s working through his fear of bugs. The Rock is making sure of that.
His feed is always good for a laugh
“It’s Kev’s worst nightmare and some of the funniest shit I’ve seen when he thinks something is crawling on him,” Johnson wrote in a post, which now has over 5 million views. “Non-stop laughs with my guy on this movie.”
It wasn’t that long ago when Johnson was carrying Hart on his back through the Hawaiian jungle, so the spider prank was payback. Through it all, Johnson always manages to smile and keep an infectiously positive attitude, which makes his feed a ton of fun.
Hopefully, that will translate over to the finished product. When Johnson is playing a guy named Smolder Bravestone, how can it not be good?
If you haven’t followed Johnson on Instagram yet, your day is about to get a whole lot better. It makes me hopeful that the Jumanji reboot won’t be a total disaster after all.
