Epic’s Paragon will get a full retail release

It seems these days like every game is going free-to-play, and this just the latest– actually, the trend is swinging the other way. Paragon, the MOBA game from Epic Games, follows a recent trend of games that look like they should be free games ending up in boxes on shelves. Like the upcoming Overwatch and Boss Key Productions’ LawBreakers (produced by former Epic boss Cliff Bleszinski), Paragon is getting a proper retail release. It’ll hit shelves for $60.

The box, called the Essentials Edition, includes more than just the game. Here’s what you get:

• 6,000 Paragon Coins (worth $60).

• In-game currency to spend on additional Master Challenges, skins, boosts, and other items that I’ll see as you stand over my corpse.

• Five Hero Master Challenges.

• Each Master Challenge immediately grants a Challenger skin and permanent XP boost, plus unlocks unique rewards as you play, including a taunt (that you’ll use on me) and the Master skin.

• Includes Master Challenges for Twinblast, Sevarog, Iggy & Scorch, and two soon-to-be-announced Heroes.

• Five Skins, including the launch-exclusive Wasteland Twinblast skin.

• For now, you can only get the Wasteland Twinblast skin in the Essentials Edition.

• Five Rep Boosts (each lasts for three wins).

• Rep boosts speed up how quickly you earn Rep, which you can spend on card packs, Master Challenges, and more.

In short, you’re getting tons of digital content that a free-to-play game would normally charge for, to the tune of about $160, according to Epic. If you pre-order, you’ll get 1,000 extra coins, as well.

If you don’t want the extra content, the game actually is free-to-play and will be available that way as well for download, but if you’re a fan of this sort of game, the value in this pack seems pretty clear.

Paragon’s Essentials Edition hits shelves on June 7.
