Bethesda is inching closer to the official release of its official mod toolkit, dubbed the Creation Kit, for Fallout 4. The company is “looking to expand” its private beta to prospective modders.
They announced the expansion quietly in a thread on their forums, asking modders to simply post in the thread to express their interest in the private beta. Since posting the request, they’ve had more than 1,000 modders express interest in the beta.
We could be getting a ton of ridiculous content soon, folks.
The Creation Kit will hit the PC first, bringing completely official mod support to Fallout 4. After that, it will hit the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. I would assume we’re a long way away from actually having official Fallout 4 mods on consoles. That was something Bethesda announced when they revealed the game, but we’re quickly approaching a full year since that news.
We’ll have more on the Creation Kit and its availability as it comes.
