It’s only been a few months since the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge hit the market but it won’t be long before another major Samsung release hits. With the Galaxy Note 7 on the horizon, rumors have been hitting thick and fast, ranging from the obvious to the fanatical. Here’s a quick roundup of everything we’ve heard so far.
First with the specs:
5.7-inch Quad HD display
12-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front-facing
6GB of RAM
Snapdragon 821 chip
4,000mAh battery
IP68 water resistance, redesigned S-Pen, iris scanner, USB-C, Android Marshmallow, 64BG of storage
Really, any half-wit who closely follows the market could have guessed these specs ahead of the Note 7’s announcement. That’s another thing: It looks like Samsung is going with the Note 7 moniker, skipping over the Note 6 entirely. With Samsung already up to the Galaxy S7, it looks the company wants a more cohesive nomenclature so consumers don’t get confused.
We’re expecting a possible announcement in August, which isn’t that far away. For now, expect plenty more reports to talk about the Note 7 over the coming months. Check out the video above for a more thorough analysis of the recent Note 7 rumors.
