Galaxy S7 users report slow-motion video issues on Snapdragon model

Lots of other Galaxy S7 owners with a Snapdragon 820 model are seeing exactly the same problem. “Having the same issue as well, both to internal and SD card,” writes another Reddit user. “Bad UX for someone coming from an iPhone.”

It’s thought the issue could be related to a problematic camera driver, and it seems there is no workaround that helps it. That means it’s up to Samsung to rollout a software update, but as yet, the company is yet to even acknowledge the complaints.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are sold with a Snapdragon 820 processor in the U.S., while almost every other market around the world has the Exynos 8890 model. Benchmarks show the Snapdragon chip is slightly faster, though it’s hard to tell there’s a difference in actual use.
