As he continues to gather troops for his invasion of Winterfell, actor Kit Harington is taking time off to lend his talents to the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. But he’s not playing the hero, as he’s known to do by legions of Game of Thrones fans. Instead, Entertainment Weekly says Harington is playing the bad guy.
“Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front,” said Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director, Infinity Ward.
For fans of Game of Thrones, it’ll be a complete departure from his role as former commander of the Night’s Watch. Now, he’ll be doing the tormenting, rather than being tormented. Even better, EW’s report says his scenes were directed by Guy Ritchie (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), who has worked with Infinity Ward in the past.
Call of Duty has used big name actors before, including Kevin Spacey and Chris Meloni. Announced earlier this year, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is currently scheduled for a Nov. 4, 2016 release.
