In the gruesome, hard-to-watch episode “Battle of the Bastards,” Ramsay Bolton has a brief exchange with Sansa Stark, and he says something many people are interpreting in a very specific way. However, actor Iwan Rheon, who played the most-hated man on television, has debunked the theory, saying people are interpreting his words in the wrong way.
Note there are spoilers ahead.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Rheon talks about his time as the evil bastard, saying the Queen of Westeros is not carrying his demon spawn.
What he’s saying is that no matter what happens, what he’s done to her, very much like what he did to Reek—to Theon. Theon will never be able to shake off the horror that he’s been through and the mental and physical torture. So in the same way, he’s saying to Sansa, “I’ve put my mark on you now. For the rest of your life, you will always remember the horror of the time you’ve spent with me.
The theory began in season 6’s “The Door,” when Sansa tells Littlefinger that she can “still feel it.” “I can still feel what he did, in my body, standing here, right now.”
Many people started to wonder if that meant she was pregnant, and the theory was bolstered by what Ramsay tells Sansa just before his demise in “Battle of the Bastards.”
“I’m part of you now,” Ramsay says to Sansa.
I can see how people jumped to that conclusion, but we can finally put this theory to rest. There won’t be any Ramsay babies running around in the future, thank goodness.
