We certainly weren’t expecting a sequel to the Gear Fit, which originally launched back in 2014, but the evidence is quickly starting to pile up. The latest leak shows the rumored Gear Fit 2 in three new colors with an updated user interface.

It looks like the Gear Fit 2 will come in black, blue and a dark pink shade that almost looks purple. The new bands also appear to have a textured design. Based on earlier leaks, the OLED display may be even curvier than the original, giving the device a more streamlined look.
The biggest issue with the original Gear Fit was its software. Samsung originally designed it to be used horizontally, but it sat on your wrist at a vertical orientation. A subsequent update attempted to fix the problem but ended up squishing the interface into portrait mode to fit. Thankfully, it looks like the Gear Fit 2 could offer a fresh user interface designed for vertical viewing right off the bat.
The Gear Fit 2 is also expected to offer GPS, making it a better running companion than its predecessor. Other than that the device is still a mystery, but it looks like the new wearable could be ready to launch pretty soon. We may even see it unveiled this summer alongside the Galaxy Note 6.
