Man, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE is really giving me a karaoke buzz. I feel an undeniable urge to go and sing my J-pop routine without the slightest shred of irony. Hopefully, no monsters show up and steal my “Performa…” whatever that is.
A new poppin’ trailer for Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, courtesy of Nintendo, tries its best to explain the meaning behind the colorful visuals and outlandish J-pop tunes. Demons show up in our world and rob teen idols of their music ability, manifesting it into a mystical force called “Performa.”
You get it? Because it’s one katakana symbol away from the title of Atlus’ series “Persona.” Who at Atlus got their dad to stay up until 2 in the morning to think of that one?
Of course, I joke. It’s corny, but that’s the whole point. Chrom starts to stand on his own in this trailer as a genuinely cool character, not just a blank face on a long Fire Emblem robe. I’m excited, and anyone with a love of pink and its corresponding colors should be as well.
Nintendo and Atlus will release Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE for the Wii U on June 24.
