Over the past several years, Google’s software services have made their way into most homes and workspaces, and around this time every year, Google holds its I/O event to announce new things it’s been working on.
For the most part, this event is reserved for the next the version of Android and other new services Google has up its sleeve. Three years ago it was Hangouts, two years ago it was Android Watch, this year it is Allo and Duo, its new messaging and video services. Google also teased a new version of Android Wear along with Google Home, its Alexa competitor.
Ron Parida was lucky enough to join Jon at the event and chronicled his journey. What made the experience all the more unique was Google’s decision to hold it in an outdoor amphitheater. Suffice it to say, the weather wasn’t too cooperative.
Ron continues the blog-style he popularized in his Apple Experience video to deliver an immersive experience of what events like this truly are like. The entire video is really cool to see as it gives a small glimpse into the world of tech journalism. The industry is not always glamorous, but it’s still fun to be a part of.
