Over the past few weeks we have been dutifully studying video clips of the new mid-engine Corvette to try to hear if the car is V6 or V8, turbo or not. As a reference, here is what a car of great turbocharging sounds like.
This is Naoki Nakamura’s new 2JZ-powered Nissan S15. It’s an interesting car, as he’s known for driving the hell out of his relatively basic, older S13 with a lower-power SR20. He always outperformed, so to say. It’ll be fun to see him in a full-power rig.
In this IG post he’s claiming 1,000 horsepower, which is what it sounds like. “I can feel the boost from here,” our own Patrick George said upon seeing the third clip in the stack.
