Radwood has been around for a little over a year now, and the show has finally spread across the U.S. for a show on the Eastern Seaboard. A couple of weeks ago, Radwood joined up with GridLife for an automotive festival like no other in Georgia, at Road Atlanta. Nearly 200 cars joined in ‘80s and ‘90s celebrations, and Ethan braved the heat in a polyester Pac Man suit to capture the full experience for all of us.
Cars, trucks, motorcycles of the era gathered for the show, including a couple of Leh Keen’s Safari cars, a one-of-one AMG Hammer wagon, and a whole lot of extra rad autos. Ethan tracked down a few owners to hear the stories of their cars. Some of these folks drove down to Atlanta from as far away as Massachusetts, Texas, New York, and Ohio, and still managed to have cars clean enough to catch attention. There was even a shoe lacing competition, which sounds really weird, but was actually a lot of fun.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am one of the co-founders of Radwood, and Ethan attended the event on our behalf. He’s a totally rad dude that has been a believer in the Radwood movement from the beginning. You can see his videos on the official Radwood YouTube channel, or on his own channel, Hello Road.
The next Radwood event will be another East Coast affair, this time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 14th. If you think you’ve got what it takes to be as rad as the folks in this video, be there, or forever be square.
