Thankfully, there are still good driving roads that exist in this trash world of ours. They are one of the last places where we can go and enjoy our cars without signing up for a track day. But because they are public roads, safety is key. Especially on the Tail of the Dragon.
If you don’t already know, the Tail of the Dragon is one of the most famous, exciting and technical roads in the United States. It winds through the densely forested mountains between Tennessee and North Carolina and is basically a driver’s and rider’s paradise. And because of its popularity, you don’t always get the most well-behaved drivers there.
YouTube user Dance2Fit With Leighann uploaded a video yesterday while she was driving a Honda S2000 on the Tail. She was following a cruiser, waiting for them to use a pull-off, when a Miata ran up and cut in front of her, according to the video’s caption. Then, the Miata driver passed the cruiser around a blind turn and just missed a head-on collision with another oncoming Miata.

This is dangerous behavior! You should never pass around a blind turn or run up that closely behind another vehicle, motorcycle or car. It’s a good thing nobody was hurt. Be safe out there.
