How to Watch the Indianapolis 500

The Indianapolis 500, and Danica Patrick’s retirement from racing, happens tomorrow, May 27th. Race coverage starts at 11am ET and the driver’s officially start their engines at 12:20pm ET. If you want to catch all the high-speed action, you have a few different options for how to do it:

Broadcast TV

By far, broadcast television is always your easiest and cheapest way to catch stuff like this. The Indy 500 is being broadcast on ABC, which is available over the air using a digital antenna or through most cable and satellite providers.

Streaming

If you’re a cable subscriber (or can borrow a login) then the race is being streamed via Watch ESPN.com and the Watch ESPN app.

Otherwise, you can catch the race by using any of the streaming services that offer access to ABC. Those include YouTube TV, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV Now and Hulu with Live TV. Prices start from $25-$40/month for each one (Sling is the cheapest) and all offer a free trial period you could potentially use to watch the Finals and then cancel afterward if you don’t see yourself continuing to want to watch live TV going forward.
