HP unveiled a pretty impressive new Chromebook this week. The Chromebook 13 sports an all-metal design and is powered by a sixth-generation Intel Core M processor, the same family of chip that’s included in Apple’s MacBook.
The Chromebook 13 has plenty of high-end trimmings including custom-tuned Bang & Olufsen audio; a 13.3-inch 3200 x 1800-pixel display; support for a new USB-C dock that allows the connection of an Ethernet jack, two HD monitors and a full-sized keyboard; 16GB of RAM; up to 11.5 hours of battery life with support for USB_C fast-charging. The Chromebook 13 weighs 2.86 pounds and measures 12.99mm thin.
The Chromebook 13 goes for $499. That’s a bit more than most Chromebooks cost; in fact, you could probably buy almost three cheaper models at that rate, but this has a premium design and a relatively powerful processor for a Chromebook.
