There are times in life when you should very clearly run. Like when you are being chased by a murderer, or when craft supplies contain any amount of glitter. But then there are times when it’s less clear whether you should run or embrace with open arms. This blue 2008 Dodge Viper is one of those times.
I’m no idiot; I know they never made a Dodge Viper Superleggera, but if there ever was to be one, it would definitely be like this one listed on Cranky Ape. Isn’t it divine? It looks perfectly fine from the photos. It’s said to have 600 horsepower, hooked up to a six-speed manual. Neato.
And it even runs, too, look.
With 2,199 miles “showing on the odometer,” here’s what the listing says about the magical Viper:
The unit is missing the hood, roof, and trunk and the other panels do not appear to be installed correctly. The rear end locks up when power is applied. The speakers and windshield are missing. The tires are worn. The check engine light is on with codes P0316, P0553, P0517, P2610, P0369, and P2104.

Bah! Salvage malvage. The fewer parts on it, the fewer things there are to go wrong, I say.
It’s for sale in Georgetown, Texas and the current bid at the time of this writing is a measly $25. Twenty-five bucks! Come on, internet, this is a blessing. A one-of-a-kind Dodge Viper Superleggera with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.
Wrongness, like rightness, is merely a state of mind. You need to break out of that construct. Do the right thing. Don’t run.
