Sales in the 79-story building have already broken records. In January 2019, billionaire hedge-fund manager Ken Griffin bought a $238 million penthouse at 220 Central Park South, making it the most expensive home ever sold in the US.

In total, the tower has surpassed $1 billion in sales.

StreetEasy shows no active listings at 220 Central Park South. But four condos are listed for rent, two three-bedrooms for $54,000 and $59,000 per month, a four-bedroom for $60,000, and another four-bedroom for $99,000.

Height: 953 feet

Notable buyers: Ken Griffin, Singer Sting and wife Trudie Styler, Arel Capital founding partner Richard Leibovitch, Och-Ziff Capital Management founder Daniel Och

Status: Under construction, to be finished in 2019
