iOttie’s New Magnetic Car Mounts Are Built For Your Giant, Heavy-Ass Phone

iOttie has long made some of our readers’ favorite traditional smartphone dash mounts, but haven’t you heard? It’s all about magnetic mounts now. While you can get a basic magnet mount for under $10, iOttie’s new iTap 2s look to be a step up in quality.

You can choose from a dash, air vent, or CD-slot mounted option, each of which comes with multiple sizes of magnetic plates, depending on whether your phone supports wireless charging or not. The mounts themselves are on ball joints so you can angle your phone, and feature two large rare earth magnets as well, which should hold even giant, heavy phones steady on bumpy roads, which is where less expensive models can sometimes fall flat.
