Although we’re not expecting big design changes when the iPhone 7 hits this fall, one prominent rumor claims Apple will introduce a darker space gray color (re: black) to its mobile lineup, and if these new renders by Martin Hajek are anything to go by, the new shade of gray will fit right in.
Based on the recent iPhone 7 design rumors, Hajek imagines what Apple’s next flagship will look like when it’s done up in a much deeper shade of gray. The renders also reflect a slightly tweaked camera hump and relocated antenna bands. It looks just different enough without being a complete revamp.
As you can see in the gallery above, the color is a much more elegant option when compared to the existing space gray, which is more of a dull silver. In addition to looking stealthy, the darker shade might also do a better job of hiding the antenna bands.
We’ve seen a lot of iPhone 7 concept images already but these are easily the best of the bunch; Hajek always produces excellent work. If this is indeed one of the color options Apple offers when the iPhone 7 hits this fall, it’ll look pretty awesome next to our custom matte black MacBook.
