Wiping your Windows machine and starting out fresh can be a real pain — but not if you’re running the latest version of Windows 10. Thanks to a new tool, it’s easier than ever to get a clean install and get rid of third-party apps.
If you’ve been running the same Windows install for a while, it might have become a little slow. You might have applications installed that you no longer use, and all kinds of bloatware that you’ve picked up with other programs.
Now it’s easy to put that right in Windows 10.
“We are providing a new tool that enables an easy and simple way to start fresh with a clean installation of Windows,” explains Microsoft.
“This tool is now available from the Settings app for Windows Insiders using the latest builds that installs a clean copy of the most recent version of Windows10 and removes apps that were installed on your PC.”
Microsoft says it has heard from many Windows users who feel it’s too hard to perform a clean install of their operating system, which is why the company built this tool. Although it’s only available to Insiders for now, it will rollout to all later on.
