Kingdom Hearts III retains songwriter Hikaru Utada, soundtrack already on the way

Singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada has been the driving force of the Kingdom Hearts’ central theme songs since the first game launched back in 2002. Fans began to worry that Utada wouldn’t be participating in Kingdom HeartsIII since neither her or Square Enix confirmed her participation.

However, Utada’s father and manager Teruzane Utada recently took to Twitter, and he confirmed his daughter was working with the game.

We’ll do it. Actually we have already started. Sorry for keeping you waiting. teruzane @ritch_diaz@utadahikaru Still Waiting for a confirma

Kingdom Hearts without Utada just isn’t Kingdom Hearts

Utada might be a bit older since the debut of the Kingdom Hearts, she’s still making music and is still really popular in Japan. Of course, she’s coming back to Kingdom Hearts! Japanese artists know how to exploit the niches they find as that is how they find success in between their mainstream efforts.

Besides, without her voice kicking off Sora’s next adventure, it’s just not the same.
