LeBron James may have a secret advantage in the NBA Finals

The Cavaliers have cruised through the playoffs, losing just two games (both in the conference finals), and it could have a huge impact on their hopes to beat the Warriors in the Finals. While every player is suffering from wear and tear at this point, LeBron James may be as fresh as he has ever been this late in the season.

With LeBron playing in his sixth straight NBA Finals, he has racked up a ton of mileage on his legs. Since the start of the 2010-2011 season, he has played 2,500 minutes — the equivalent of about 70 games — more than anybody else in the NBA.

But this season has been different. Through the first three rounds, LeBron has played just 530 minutes, his fewest prior to the Finals in any of the last six seasons. It is even 39 minutes fewer than he played last year in the same number of games.

In other words, this may be the best chance yet to see LeBron James single-handedly dominate a series, and it could be the Cavs’ best shot yet at a title.
