Let’s Get Up Close With Some of the Best Cars at Radwood Philadelphia

Why bore yourself to death on a golf course lawn with millionaires scowling at each other from behind their Bugattis and Delahayes when you can hang out with your people, the ones who drive a nearly showroom-grade restored Subaru Justy? That is the magic of Radwood.

We were there this past weekend for Radwood Philadelphia, the first-ever iteration of the 1980s and 1990s car show to hit the Northeast. And as we tend to do, we grabbed some microphones and cameras and went around bothering people.

Among the highlights here: a sea of Celica Supras (Celicas Supra?), a 275,000-mile DeLorean, a diesel Citroën ambulance I hope to die in someday, some very nice old Subarus and a Volvo 240 wagon imported from Japan that has a special connection to Mike Ballaban.

The thing is, we barely scratched the surface of all the cool stuff that was at the show. That’s why we can’t wait to go again—you never know what will show up to Radwood.
