LG has several new smartphones on display here at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona. Two of them have features that are dedicated to making one thing really great. In this case, the LG X Screen Android smartphone puts the focus on a unique display.
The mid-range Android smartphone has a small 1.76-inch .always-on-display at the top of the 4.93-inch primary screen. It’s a lot like the LG V10, though this phone will probably cost less than half the price of that flagship (official pricing isn’t out yet.) The small secondary display is always on and can be used for app shortcuts, notifications and more. You won’t ever need to turn on the primary display just to see some of these alerts, which should ultimately save you some battery life.
The phone felt relatively cheap, but that’s because you’re not paying for premium materials. Other features are pretty sold, including 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, an 8MP front-facing camera and more. Take a closer look in our gallery above.
